Where the valley floor stops and the Howell Mountain climb starts — and where the upvalley hospital actually is.
Why Deer Park chooses Irydn
Adventist Health St. Helena is not in St. Helena. It sits on Sanitarium Road in Deer Park, ZIP 94576, a couple of miles east of the town it is named after and just above the point where Deer Park Road leaves the Silverado Trail and begins climbing Howell Mountain. That one fact explains most of what we do here. Deer Park is an unincorporated community rather than an incorporated city, with no downtown, no hotel district, and no public transport worth the name — and it is home to the upvalley hospital, which means a large share of the rides that begin or end here are appointments rather than tastings.
Irydn chauffeurs those: a ride to a morning pre-op when you have been told not to drive yourself, a ride home afterward, family flying in from out of the area, and staff travel out to the airports. We also drive the other Deer Park run, which is the turn up the grade to Angwin. We are a licensed California charter-party carrier under CPUC permit TCP 0039081A, commercially insured, with background-checked professional chauffeurs, running mid-size and large luxury SUVs, a Luxury Sprinter Van, a Sprinter Passenger Van, and a Luxury Bus from our Napa Valley base in Yountville. Dispatch is staffed at every hour at (415) 237-0073, because discharge times are not something anyone schedules in advance.
Our FleetLuxury SUVs to 24-Passenger Buses
From a Mid-Size Luxury SUV for a solo SFO run to a Luxury Bus carrying 24 for a wedding block or a corporate offsite, Irydn matches every Deer Park trip to the right vehicle — each one late-model, commercially insured, and driven by a background-checked professional chauffeur under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A.

Fast Facts
Typical drive time from Deer Park
Estimates reflect off-peak conditions via Deer Park Road at the Silverado Trail. Bay Area bridge and commute traffic may extend transit time; flight-tracked pickups adjust automatically.
Local pickup coverage
We plan each Deer Park ride around the actual pickup address, not just the city name. For airport transportation, dispatch usually builds around Deer Park Road at the Silverado Trail and an off-peak run to San Francisco International (SFO) of about 85–105 minutes. Add gate codes, hotel entrances, winery appointment times, or venue notes when booking so your chauffeur can arrive at the right door the first time.

Why Choose Us
Adventist Health St. Helena sits on Sanitarium Road here, not in the town it is named after. We book to the entrance, not the name.
Hourly as-directed means nobody renegotiates a pickup time from a corridor. The vehicle stays until the day is actually done.
Sedation, pre-op, discharge. Door-to-door, unhurried, and quoted upfront as a private booking like any other transfer.
No lifts, ramps, gurneys, oxygen, or clinical staff — we are chauffeurs. If you need those, book a specialist provider instead.
Much the closest airport for family flying in, against 85–105 to SFO. Flight tracking is standard on every airport booking.
(415) 237-0073, around the clock. Discharge times are not scheduled in advance, and neither are late arrivals.
The name causes real confusion, and it costs people time on days when they have none to spare. Adventist Health St. Helena stands on Sanitarium Road in Deer Park — the road name is a leftover from the St. Helena Sanitarium that occupied the site long before the current hospital did. Visitors typing the hospital's name into a phone are routinely sent toward downtown St. Helena first, which is the wrong town for this purpose, and then have to work back out along Deer Park Road with an appointment time running down. We book to the actual entrance rather than to a name. If you are being dropped for a scheduled procedure, tell us which department, and the chauffeur takes you to the door you were told to use rather than to the address on the letterhead. On the return leg we hold at the pickup point you name, not wherever a map pin lands, because walking an unfamiliar campus after a procedure is exactly what you booked a car to avoid.
Sedation is the common thread. A great many procedures come with the same instruction — arrange for someone to take you home, and do not drive today — and not everybody has a person available who can take a whole weekday off to sit in a waiting room. That is a substantial share of our Deer Park work, and it is not a wine-country service in any sense. What it looks like in practice: a pickup at your door at the hour you were told to arrive, an unhurried ride to the entrance you specify, and either a return booked for later or an hourly as-directed booking where the chauffeur simply waits. Waiting is the part people underestimate. Appointments overrun, discharge takes as long as it takes, and a fixed pickup time you have to keep renegotiating from a hospital corridor is its own small stress. Booking the vehicle to stay removes it. This is private chauffeur service, quoted upfront and booked the way any other transfer is.
It is worth being direct about the limits, because a page that discusses medical appointments should say plainly where the service ends. Irydn chauffeurs are professional drivers — background-checked, commercially insured, operating under CPUC permit TCP 0039081A. They are not medical staff, and our vehicles are passenger vehicles. We do not operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, gurneys, oxygen, or any other medical equipment, we cannot provide clinical care or monitoring during a ride, and we are never the right call in an emergency. If you need lift-equipped or clinically staffed transport, book a provider who specialises in it; that is a genuinely different service and it is not the one we run. What we do offer is straightforward and often exactly what is needed: a clean, quiet, comfortable vehicle, a chauffeur who arrives on time, holds the door, carries the bag, does not rush anybody across a car park, and will wait as long as the day requires. Say when you book if a lower step into the vehicle would help, and we will send the one that is easiest to get into.
When someone is admitted upvalley, the relatives usually are not local. They land tired at an airport an hour or more away, at whatever time the only available flight arrived, and the last thing that helps is a rental counter and an unfamiliar address in the dark. We meet those arrivals with flight tracking on every booking, so a delayed landing moves the pickup instead of starting a wait clock, and dispatch answers at three in the morning the same as at three in the afternoon. Drive times from Deer Park run 48 to 62 minutes to STS, 78 to 98 to SMF, 80 to 100 to OAK, and 85 to 105 to SFO — STS is much the closest, which is worth checking against the route map before anyone books flights in a hurry. The hospital also generates ordinary business travel: staff and visiting clinicians heading out to conferences and back, which we handle as flat-rate transfers on corporate terms with consolidated invoicing if a department prefers that to individual receipts.
Deer Park Road meets the Silverado Trail at the eastern edge of the valley floor, and everything above that junction is mountain. Deer Park occupies the last flat ground before the climb, which gives it a role nobody planned: it is the natural staging point for anything happening on Howell Mountain. A group heading up to Angwin gets collected here rather than strung out along the valley; a party coming down finishes the descent here and rejoins the Silverado Trail on level ground. If your day mixes both — an appointment at the hospital in the morning, an afternoon on the mountain, or the reverse — say so at booking and we will build the sequence around the grade rather than treating it as a rounding error. And if the plan is simply to get up the hill, the practical advice from this end is the same as from the top: the climb is around eight miles of switchbacks, so allow twenty to thirty minutes and do not schedule as though it were straight road.
Deer Park has no downtown to aim for. It is homes on wooded lanes off Sanitarium Road and Deer Park Road, mailboxes clustered at the bottom of shared driveways, house numbers that are not visible from a moving vehicle after dark, and Bell Canyon Reservoir sitting in a closed watershed above the community with no public access. Address-finding is a real part of the job here rather than a formality, so when you book we confirm the exact door — which driveway, which gate, whether the vehicle can turn around at the top or should wait at the road. Get that right once and every subsequent booking is simple. It is also why we would rather take the booking by phone than have someone guess at a map pin, particularly for an early departure in the dark or a return late at night. Dispatch is staffed around the clock at (415) 237-0073 for exactly that reason.
Because Adventist Health St. Helena sits in Deer Park, a lot of the enquiries we take here are about medical appointments. Irydn is a chauffeur company, not a medical transport provider, so this is the honest line between the two — stated before you book rather than at the curb.
| What you may need | Irydn | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Door-to-door pickup from a Deer Park address | Yes | We confirm the exact driveway and gate when you book — house numbers here are hard to see at night |
| A ride to a scheduled appointment or procedure | Yes | Delivered to the specific entrance you were told to use, not a general campus address |
| A ride home when you were told not to drive yourself | Yes | The most common booking we take here; the chauffeur meets you at the discharge door |
| A chauffeur who waits through the whole appointment | Yes | Hourly as-directed service, billed hourly with a minimum, so an overrun is not a second problem |
| Help with the door, a bag, a walker, and an unhurried walk | Yes | Standard. Mention at booking if a lower step into the vehicle would help |
| A wheelchair lift, ramp, or accessible vehicle | No | Irydn operates none. Book a provider that specialises in lift-equipped transport |
| A gurney, oxygen, or any medical equipment | No | Our vehicles are passenger vehicles. Never book us in place of an ambulance |
| Clinical care or monitoring during the ride | No | Our chauffeurs are background-checked professional drivers, not medical staff |
| Emergency response | No | Call 911. We are a scheduled, pre-booked service under CPUC permit TCP 0039081A |

Flat-rate and quoted upfront: tolls, fuel, and standard wait time already included.
Get a Quote for Airport Transfers — SFO, OAK, SMF & STS from Deer ParkDeer Park black car service built around business travel and corporate accounts.
Late-model luxury SUVs and background-checked professional chauffeurs for client pickups, roadshows, board travel, and conference blocks across Upvalley Napa. Corporate accounts get priority dispatch during the windows that genuinely tighten — harvest season, conference weeks, dawn airport departures — plus consolidated monthly invoicing with trip-level detail instead of a pile of receipts. One operator across wine country, the Bay Area, and the capital region. Licensed under California PUC charter-party permit TCP 0039081A.
Get a Quote for Corporate & Executive Black CarGroup movements across Upvalley Napa — weddings, offsites, and event shuttles.
The executive Sprinter seats up to eleven, the Sprinter passenger van up to fourteen, and the luxury bus up to twenty-four — most wedding weekends and corporate offsites end up as a mix of all three. We handle the whole shape of it: airport blocks arriving across an afternoon from four different airports, hotel-to-venue shuttle loops, a tasting afternoon in the middle of the agenda, and departure runs at the end. One schedule, one point of contact, one invoice.
Get a Quote for Weddings, Events & Group TransportationBy the hour, with your chauffeur and vehicle waiting between stops.
The right structure any time you have more than two stops: a multi-stop Deer Park business day, a tasting itinerary, a wedding-day schedule, or an evening out. The vehicle and chauffeur stay with you rather than being dispatched away and re-booked, so a meeting running twenty minutes long does not turn into a wait for a car. Billed hourly with a daily minimum, quoted upfront — no surge multipliers, in whichever vehicle class fits your party.

A single leg, quoted flat-rate before you book: a hotel run into San Francisco, dinner in Healdsburg, a Golden 1 Center event in Sacramento, or one of the long connector trips other operators decline — Sacramento to Napa through the Carneros gap, San Francisco to the northern Sonoma appellations. Tolls, fuel, and standard wait time are already in the number, and it does not change because traffic did.
Get a Quote for Point-to-Point TransportationWhy Choose Us
From every Deer Park address to SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS — and every Upvalley Napa destination in between — we deliver chauffeured transport built on a licensed fleet, career chauffeurs, and flat-rate quotes given before you book.
Irydn operates under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A — a credential you can look up on the CPUC carrier register before you book. Commercially insured, with every vehicle and chauffeur covered for passenger transport. Ask any Deer Park operator for their TCP number; the ones who can't produce it aren't licensed to carry you.
A mid-size luxury SUV for couples and solo executives, a large luxury SUV when there's real luggage, an executive Sprinter with captain's chairs for tasting days, a Sprinter passenger van for full teams, and a luxury bus for wedding blocks and offsites. One company, one call — no subcontracting the vehicle you actually booked.
Career chauffeurs, not rideshare drivers. Every one is background-checked, licensed, and trained in hospitality and Deer Park routes — which winery gates take an extra ten minutes, which hotel entrance the vehicle actually fits. The standard is identical no matter which Irydn vehicle pulls up.
Airport and point-to-point transfers are flat-rate and quoted before you book — tolls, fuel, and standard wait time included. No surge, no meter, no bridge-traffic surcharge. Wine tours are hourly with a daily minimum, because a tasting day isn't a transfer and a fixed price would either shortchange the day or pad the quote.
Every SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS pickup is flight-tracked in real time, so your chauffeur is curbside whether you land early, late, or diverted. Dispatch answers the phone around the clock at (415) 237-0073 — dawn departures, red-eye arrivals, and overnight runs included.
Smoke-free, late-model, commercially insured vehicles backed by corporate account management, consolidated billing, and the discretion executive and group clients expect. One invoice, one point of contact, every ride documented.
Deer Park is where the valley floor stops and the Howell Mountain climb begins, and it is also where the upvalley hospital is — so the rides here are as often a medical appointment as a tasting.
Step-by-step
A six-step walkthrough of the booking flow, from entering your Deer Park pickup address to confirming a flat-rate quote with live flight tracking — or building a wine-country itinerary instead.
Start at /reservation/ and enter the full Deer Park address — residential, corporate campus, hotel, inn, or winery. Gated-property access codes and specific entrance notes can be added to the booking notes. We pick up regularly near Adventist Health St. Helena, the foot of the Howell Mountain grade, Bell Canyon Reservoir.
Northern California is a multi-airport market, so pick the airport that actually fits your itinerary. From Deer Park the usual choice is San Francisco International (SFO), typically about 85–105 minutes off-peak via Deer Park Road at the Silverado Trail. Building a tasting day instead? Enter your first winery and we'll route the rest.
Pick the vehicle that fits the group: a mid-size luxury SUV (up to 4), a large luxury SUV (up to 6), an executive Sprinter van with captain's chairs (up to 11), a Sprinter passenger van (up to 14), or a luxury bus (up to 24). Every vehicle is late-model, commercially insured, and operated by a background-checked professional chauffeur under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A.
Curbside airport pickup is standard and included in your flat-rate Deer Park quote. Meet & Greet inside baggage claim with a name placard and luggage assistance is an optional add-on — worth it for long-haul arrivals into SFO or OAK. Wine tours can include cooler storage and glassware on request.
Your Deer Park rate is quoted upfront — flat-rate and all-inclusive for transfers, hourly with a daily minimum for tours. No surge, no metered fares, no hidden fees. Tolls, fuel, and standard wait time are built in. Corporate accounts are active with Adventist Health St. Helena and other Upvalley Napa employers.
Complete your Deer Park booking online in minutes or call our 24/7 dispatch line. You'll get an instant email confirmation with trip details, and your chauffeur's contact info the day of the trip.
