About Irydn
Northern California's Wine Country Black Car Service
Irydnis a chauffeured black car service built around Northern California's wine country. We run from three bases — Petaluma, Yountville, and Sacramento — which means a Napa or Sonoma tasting day starts in wine country rather than driving out to it. We are a licensed California charter-party carrier operating under CPUC permit TCP 0039081A, with five vehicle classes covering everything from a couple on a tasting day to a twenty-four-passenger wedding block.
“Show up early, know the roads, quote it straight, and tell the guest honestly when the day they've planned won't fit. That's the standard at Irydn.”— The Irydn Team

How We Work
Irydn exists because wine country is harder to drive than it looks. Three appointments in three appellations with an hour of unaccounted driving between them is the most common way a tasting day goes wrong — and it is a sequencing problem, not a driving one.
So that is what we sell. Send us your confirmed winery list before the day and we will tell you honestly whether it holds. Dry Creek to Alexander Valley is fifteen minutes; Healdsburg to the south end of the Sonoma Valley is closer to an hour, and doing both in an afternoon means rushing the tasting you were most looking forward to. We would rather talk you down to three good stops than run you through five you will not remember.
Working from Petaluma, Yountville, and Sacramento is the other half of it. A vehicle that starts the day near you is not billing you for the drive out from a city an hour away, and it means the cross-county trips other operators decline — Sacramento to Napa through the Carneros gap, San Francisco to Healdsburg, an SFO block feeding a Yountville offsite — are routine rather than exceptional.
On the accountability side, we are a licensed California charter-party carrier under CPUC permit TCP 0039081A, with commercial passenger insurance on every vehicle and background-checked professional chauffeurs. That permit is a public record — it is worth asking any wine-country operator for theirs, because some wineries will not admit a group arriving in an unpermitted vehicle.
Pricing is structured to match the trip rather than the other way around. Airport and point-to-point transfers are flat-rate and all-inclusive, with tolls, fuel, and standard wait time already in the number and no surge at five in the morning. Wine tours are hourly with a daily minimum, because tasting days do not run to a fixed schedule; tasting fees go straight to the wineries and are never marked up through us.

What We Offer
Napa & Sonoma Wine Tours
Our flagship service: private, chauffeured tasting days built around your confirmed appointments, sequenced so you are not doubling back across the valley. Hourly with a daily minimum, in a luxury SUV, the executive Sprinter, or a larger van or bus — with room for the cases you buy.
Airport Transfers — SFO, OAK, SMF & STS
Flat-rate, flight-tracked transfers between all four Northern California airports and every wine-country, Bay Area, and capital-region address. Curbside or meet-and-greet, with your chauffeur's details sent before you land.
Executive & Corporate Transportation
Executive black car service, roadshows, and corporate accounts with priority dispatch, consolidated monthly invoicing, and cost-center tagging — plus the insurance and permit documentation procurement teams ask for before approving a vendor.
Weddings & Events
Wedding parties, guest shuttle loops between hotel and venue, and event blocks across Napa, Sonoma, Marin, and Sacramento — coordinated on one schedule with a single point of contact instead of a convoy of separate bookings.
Group Transportation
Up to twenty-four passengers in a single vehicle: the Luxury Sprinter Van for eleven, the Sprinter Passenger Van for fourteen, and the Luxury Bus for twenty-four. Larger parties run as multiple vehicles on one coordinated schedule so everyone arrives together.
Hourly & Point-to-Point
Hourly as-directed service keeps the chauffeur and vehicle with you between stops — the right structure for any day with more than two. Point-to-point trips are quoted flat-rate upfront, tolls and wait time included.
Licensed, Insured, Professional
Independently Verifiable Trust Signals
We don't self-certify safety. Irydn LLC holds a California PUC charter-party carrier permit that is a matter of public record, carries commercial passenger insurance, and background-checks every chauffeur before they carry a passenger.
Licensed California Charter-Party Carrier
Irydn LLC operates under California Public Utilities Commission permit TCP 0039081A. It is a public record you can verify with the CPUC rather than a claim we make about ourselves — and some wineries will not admit a group arriving in an unpermitted vehicle.
Commercially Insured Fleet
Every vehicle carries commercial passenger liability insurance, and certificates are available on request. Corporate travel and procurement teams usually ask for them before approving a ground vendor, so we keep them ready rather than making you chase.
Background-Checked Chauffeurs
Every chauffeur passes criminal-background and motor-vehicle-record screening before carrying a passenger, with periodic re-checks after that. You get your chauffeur's details the day of the trip — not whoever happened to accept a ping.
Flight-Tracked Airport Transfers
Every SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS booking is flight-tracked at no extra cost. Early, late, delayed, or diverted — dispatch already knows, and your pickup time moves with the aircraft.
Wine-Country Route Knowledge
Our chauffeurs know which crossings are quick and which are only scenic — the Oakville Grade, Trinity Road, the Silverado Trail run north. That sequencing, not the ride itself, is the real difference between a chauffeur and a rideshare on a tasting day.
Quoted Upfront, Never Surged
Airport and point-to-point transfers are flat-rate and all-inclusive — tolls, fuel, and standard wait time are already in the number. Wine tours are hourly with a daily minimum, and tasting fees go straight to the wineries with no markup through us.
What Sets Irydn Apart
Local, not visiting
Petaluma, Yountville, and Sacramento bases put a vehicle near you before the day starts. We know the appellations, the plaza pickup points, and which SR-29 crossings hold up at four in the afternoon.
Licensed and accountable
California PUC permit TCP 0039081A, commercial insurance, and background-checked chauffeurs. Every trip is booked, tracked, and attributable — the duty-of-care record a rideshare receipt cannot produce.
Honest about the day
If your five-winery itinerary will not hold, we say so before you book rather than rushing the tasting you were most looking forward to. Talking a day down to three good stops is part of the service.
One operator, three regions
Wine country, the Bay Area, and Sacramento covered by the same company — so the cross-county runs other operators decline are routine here, not an exception.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is Irydn?
- Irydn is a Northern California chauffeured black car service specializing in private Napa and Sonoma wine tours, flight-tracked airport transfers, and corporate, wedding, and group transportation. The legal entity is Irydn LLC, a licensed California charter-party carrier operating under CPUC permit TCP 0039081A. Dispatch answers at (415) 237-0073, 24 hours a day.
- Where is Irydn based and what areas do you serve?
- Irydn runs from three Northern California bases: Petaluma, Yountville, and Sacramento. That covers Sonoma County — Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Healdsburg, Sonoma, Sebastopol, Windsor, and Rohnert Park — the Napa Valley from the city of Napa up through Yountville, St. Helena, and Calistoga, Marin County and San Francisco, and the capital region including Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and Davis. We do not keep a San Francisco office; city pickups are dispatched from Petaluma, over the Golden Gate.
- Is Irydn licensed and insured?
- Yes. Irydn LLC holds California Public Utilities Commission charter-party carrier permit TCP 0039081A, carries commercial passenger liability insurance on every vehicle, and background-checks every chauffeur. The CPUC permit is a public record, so it is verifiable independently — which is exactly why it is worth asking any wine-country operator for theirs.
- What services does Irydn offer?
- Private Napa and Sonoma wine tours are our flagship service. Alongside them we run flight-tracked airport transfers to SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS, executive black car service, corporate accounts and offsite logistics, wedding and event transportation, group transportation, hourly as-directed chauffeur service, and point-to-point rides across Northern California. Dispatch is available 24/7.
- What vehicles do you operate?
- Five classes: a Mid-Size Luxury SUV for up to 4 passengers, a Large Luxury SUV for up to 6, a Luxury Sprinter Van with captain's chairs and a stand-up cabin for up to 11, a Sprinter Passenger Van for up to 14, and a Luxury Bus for up to 24. The executive Sprinter is our most-requested wine-tour vehicle. Every class has room for the cases you buy along the way.
- How are wine tours priced?
- Hourly with a daily minimum rather than flat-rate, because a tasting day is not a transfer — appointments run long and lunch runs longer, so a fixed price would either shortchange you or pad the quote. The hourly rate covers the vehicle, your chauffeur, fuel, and wait time at each stop. Tasting fees are paid directly to the wineries and never marked up through us. Airport and point-to-point transfers, by contrast, are flat-rate and quoted upfront.
- Which airport should we fly into?
- SFO has the most long-haul options and is the default for most visitors. STS — Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County — sits in wine country itself, roughly twenty minutes from Healdsburg, and is often worth a connection if you are staying in northern Sonoma. OAK can beat SFO depending on traffic. SMF makes sense from the east or if you are staying near Sacramento. We run flight-tracked transfers from all four.
- Do you handle weddings, offsites, and large groups?
- Yes. The Luxury Sprinter Van seats eleven, the Sprinter Passenger Van fourteen, and the Luxury Bus twenty-four, and most wedding weekends and corporate offsites end up as a mix — airport blocks spread across an afternoon, hotel-to-venue shuttle loops, a tasting afternoon in the middle, and departure runs at the end. It is all coordinated on one schedule with a single point of contact.
- What hours is dispatch open?
- Irydn dispatches 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call (415) 237-0073 for the fastest response or book online any time at irydn.com. The two ends of the day — a five-in-the-morning departure for an East Coast flight and a late arrival into SFO — are exactly when rideshare supply thins and prices spike, and they are the trips worth pre-booking.
- How do I contact Irydn?
- Call or text (415) 237-0073, email irydn@irydn.com, or request a quote online at irydn.com any time. We operate from Petaluma, Yountville, and Sacramento, California, and dispatch answers around the clock.
