Ask anyone who has tried to leave the city for wine country on a Saturday morning what went wrong and the answer is the bridge approach, not the highway. Sausalito removes that variable entirely. From here US-101 runs north through Marin with nothing between you and Petaluma but freeway, which is why a group staying on this side of the water can leave later and still make a ten-thirty appointment comfortably. Waterfront pickups along Bridgeway
Bridgeway is narrow, busy with pedestrians most of the year, and not a street where a large vehicle should be improvising a stop. So we do not improvise: for anything above an SUV we agree an exact pickup point when the booking is made — a hotel driveway, a side street off the waterfront, or the area near the ferry landing — and your chauffeur is in position before the booked time. SFO and OAK from southern Marin
SFO is roughly 30–48 minutes, over the Golden Gate and down through the city — the closest airport and the one nearly every Sausalito booking uses. OAK runs 35–55, and there are two ways to it: north to the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge and I-580, or across the Golden Gate and over the Bay Bridge. Which is faster genuinely depends on the hour, and we pick at dispatch rather than in advance. Southbound over the Golden Gate in the morning is the one stretch that can blow up a tight connection, so early departures get a deliberately generous pickup time.
