Why Larkspur chooses Irydn

Larkspur Landing is the only place in Marin County where a passenger ferry, a commuter train and a freeway all arrive within a few hundred yards of one another. The San Francisco ferry docks at the terminal on the water, the southern end of the SMART line sits alongside it, and US-101 crosses Sir Francis Drake Boulevard a short distance inland. Nowhere else in the county puts three modes of transport that close together, and it is the reason Larkspur appears on our schedule as a handoff rather than as a destination. The booking we take most often here is a change of vehicle in the middle of a journey: someone crosses the bay by boat in the morning, steps off at Larkspur Landing, and gets into a chauffeured vehicle for the run north into wine country — or does the same thing in reverse at the end of a tasting day, with the vehicle dropping at the terminal and the boat carrying them home.

Irydn covers Larkspur and the 94939 area from our Petaluma base, a straightforward run down US-101, in mid-size and large luxury SUVs, a Luxury Sprinter Van with captain's chairs, a fourteen-seat Sprinter Passenger Van and a twenty-four-seat Luxury Bus. We are a licensed California charter-party carrier under CPUC permit TCP 0039081A, commercially insured, with background-checked professional chauffeurs. Dispatch is staffed around the clock at (415) 237-0073, and flight tracking is standard on every airport booking — which matters here, because a journey built out of connections has more moving parts than a journey built out of one drive.

Local pickup coverage

Popular Larkspur pickup points for car service

We plan each Larkspur ride around the actual pickup address, not just the city name. For airport transportation, dispatch usually builds around US-101 at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and an off-peak run to San Francisco International (SFO) of about 32–48 minutes. Add gate codes, hotel entrances, winery appointment times, or venue notes when booking so your chauffeur can arrive at the right door the first time.

Why Choose Us

Northern California's Licensed Black Car & Wine Tour Service

Ferry, rail and freeway in one place

Larkspur Landing is the only spot in Marin where all three meet. We take the leg none of them cover — the one with the appointment attached.

We meet the boat, not the timetable

Your chauffeur is at the terminal before the sailing is due. If the crossing runs late the vehicle waits rather than rebooking.

SMART arrivals collected on the platform

A named meet at the Larkspur station, luggage taken, and parties arriving on different services consolidated into one vehicle.

Agreed loading points for big vehicles

The terminal kerb is no place to gather eight people. For anything above an SUV we settle the exact spot when you book.

32–48 minutes to SFO

Among the shortest airport runs in Marin off-peak. OAK is 38–55 and STS 50–65 if wine country is where you are actually headed.

Three arrivals, one road onward

Stand at the end of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and the whole thing is visible at once: the ferry berth on the water, the rail platform beside it, Marin Country Mart across the way, and the freeway a short distance behind. It is a genuinely unusual piece of Marin infrastructure and it makes Larkspur the one address in the county where you can plan a journey in segments and expect the segments to meet. What none of the three connections do is finish the trip. The boat stops at a dock. The train stops at stations, which are in towns rather than at tasting rooms or trailheads. The freeway carries you past everything at speed and then leaves you with a rental agreement. Whatever the middle of the journey looks like, the last leg is always a road, and it is usually the leg that has the luggage, the cases, the people who do not know the area, and the appointment time attached to it. That last leg is the part we take.

The ferry handoff, and why people choose it

Crossing the bay by boat takes the Golden Gate out of the morning entirely, which is the single most unpredictable thing about leaving San Francisco by road. A guest who sails to Larkspur Landing arrives in central Marin already north of the bridge, and the drive from there is freeway and valley floor. We work that handoff against the published sailing rather than against a guess: the chauffeur is at the terminal before the boat is due, and if the crossing runs late the vehicle simply waits. The reverse leg needs more discipline. When we are delivering you back to the Larkspur ferry at the end of a tasting day, the last sailing is a hard deadline and no amount of good driving changes it, so we set the departure from your final winery earlier than most groups would choose on their own. If that feels tight when you tell us the plan, we will say so — and often the calmer answer is to be driven the whole way home instead.

Meeting the SMART platform at Larkspur Landing

The Larkspur SMART station shares the same few hundred yards as the ferry berth, and the line runs north up the corridor through central Marin and on into Sonoma County. For the long straight part of a journey it is a good piece of infrastructure, and we are happy to be the thing waiting at the end of it rather than trying to replace it. In practice we get asked to do two things here. The first is a straightforward meet: chauffeur in position before the arrival, name known, luggage taken, no standing on a platform working out which car park to walk to. The second is consolidation — a party that has come from three directions on three different services, some by rail, some by boat, some driven down US-101 by a relative, all collected at Larkspur Landing and loaded into one vehicle before anything else happens. Groups that consolidate here rather than at the far end of the drive lose an hour less to logistics.

Where a large vehicle can actually stop here

The frontage at the terminal is busy around sailing times, and a fourteen-seat Sprinter Passenger Van or a Luxury Bus cannot loiter there while a group gathers itself. So we do not improvise. For anything larger than an SUV we agree the exact pickup point when the booking is made — very often the Marin Country Mart side rather than the terminal kerb itself, because there is room to stand, room to load, and somewhere to sit if a boat is running behind. Your chauffeur comes to you on foot rather than making a party of eight scan a queue of vehicles for a number plate. The same applies to Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at commute hours: it is the main artery between the Landing and the freeway and it is not a road we want a Sprinter making a hopeful stop on. Two minutes on the phone at booking settles all of it.

Airport transfers from Larkspur

SFO is roughly 32–48 minutes off-peak, which puts Larkspur among the shorter airport runs anywhere in Marin, and it is the airport almost every booking here uses. OAK is 38–55. Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County (STS) is 50–65 to the north, and it is genuinely worth checking whenever the destination is northern wine country rather than the Bay Area, because it lands you inside the region instead of at the bottom of a highway. All three are off-peak figures and southbound US-101 on a weekday morning is not off-peak, so early departures get a pickup time set against the commute rather than against an average. None of the three connections at Larkspur Landing serve an airport, which is why airport work here is road work: flat-rate, quoted upfront with tolls and standard wait time already inside the number, flight-tracked, and available at whatever hour the flight actually is. The pre-dawn departure is the one worth booking rather than improvising, because that is precisely the window when supply thins out and a pre-booked chauffeur is the same rate it was at midday. On the return leg, flight tracking means a delayed landing simply moves your pickup instead of costing you a no-show fee, and dispatch is awake to deal with it.

Vehicles, groups, and how a Larkspur day is quoted

A couple or a foursome connecting off the boat take the Mid-Size Luxury SUV. Six with luggage or case room take the Large Luxury SUV. The Luxury Sprinter Van seats eleven in captain's chairs with a stand-up cabin and is the vehicle most Larkspur groups end up in, because it is the one that makes the hour north feel like part of the day rather than a gap in it. Fourteen ride the Sprinter Passenger Van and twenty-four the Luxury Bus, which is what turns a wedding block or an offsite arriving by ferry into one departure instead of six. Point-to-point trips and airport transfers are flat-rate and quoted before you book. Tasting days and hourly as-directed days are billed hourly with a daily minimum, because appointments run long and a fixed number would either shortchange you or pad the quote. Tasting fees are paid directly to the wineries and never marked up through us.

The connections that meet at Larkspur Landing, and what each one cannot do

Larkspur is the rare place where a journey can genuinely be planned in segments. Being honest about where each connection stops is the fastest way to work out which part of the day needs a vehicle.

Why Choose Us

Why Larkspur Chooses Irydn

From every Larkspur address to SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS — and every Central Marin destination in between — we deliver chauffeured transport built on a licensed fleet, career chauffeurs, and flat-rate quotes given before you book.

  • Licensed California Charter-Party Carrier

Irydn operates under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A — a credential you can look up on the CPUC carrier register before you book. Commercially insured, with every vehicle and chauffeur covered for passenger transport. Ask any Larkspur operator for their TCP number; the ones who can't produce it aren't licensed to carry you.

  • Five Vehicle Classes, Four to Twenty-Four Passengers

A mid-size luxury SUV for couples and solo executives, a large luxury SUV when there's real luggage, an executive Sprinter with captain's chairs for tasting days, a Sprinter passenger van for full teams, and a luxury bus for wedding blocks and offsites. One company, one call — no subcontracting the vehicle you actually booked.

  • Background-Checked Professional Chauffeurs

Career chauffeurs, not rideshare drivers. Every one is background-checked, licensed, and trained in hospitality and Larkspur routes — which winery gates take an extra ten minutes, which hotel entrance the vehicle actually fits. The standard is identical no matter which Irydn vehicle pulls up.

  • Flat-Rate Transfers, Quoted Upfront

Airport and point-to-point transfers are flat-rate and quoted before you book — tolls, fuel, and standard wait time included. No surge, no meter, no bridge-traffic surcharge. Wine tours are hourly with a daily minimum, because a tasting day isn't a transfer and a fixed price would either shortchange the day or pad the quote.

  • Flight Tracking + 24/7 Live Dispatch

Every SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS pickup is flight-tracked in real time, so your chauffeur is curbside whether you land early, late, or diverted. Dispatch answers the phone around the clock at (415) 237-0073 — dawn departures, red-eye arrivals, and overnight runs included.

  • Corporate Accounts & Consolidated Billing

Smoke-free, late-model, commercially insured vehicles backed by corporate account management, consolidated billing, and the discretion executive and group clients expect. One invoice, one point of contact, every ride documented.

  • Larkspur & Larkspur Landing Ferry Terminal

Larkspur Landing is the only place in Marin where a ferry, a commuter train and US-101 meet within a few hundred yards, so it is the natural handoff point for anyone splitting a journey between the city and wine country.

Step-by-step

How to book Larkspur car service to San Francisco International (SFO) airport

A six-step walkthrough of the booking flow, from entering your Larkspur pickup address to confirming a flat-rate quote with live flight tracking — or building a wine-country itinerary instead.

  1. 1

    Enter your Larkspur pickup address

Start at /reservation/ and enter the full Larkspur address — residential, corporate campus, hotel, inn, or winery. Gated-property access codes and specific entrance notes can be added to the booking notes. We pick up regularly near Larkspur Landing Ferry Terminal, Marin Country Mart, the Larkspur SMART station.

  2. 2

Choose your destination and travel date

Northern California is a multi-airport market, so pick the airport that actually fits your itinerary. From Larkspur the usual choice is San Francisco International (SFO), typically about 32–48 minutes off-peak via US-101 at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Building a tasting day instead? Enter your first winery and we'll route the rest.

  3. 3

Choose your vehicle and confirm party size

Pick the vehicle that fits the group: a mid-size luxury SUV (up to 4), a large luxury SUV (up to 6), an executive Sprinter van with captain's chairs (up to 11), a Sprinter passenger van (up to 14), or a luxury bus (up to 24). Every vehicle is late-model, commercially insured, and operated by a background-checked professional chauffeur under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A.

  4. 4

Add Meet & Greet or a tasting itinerary

Curbside airport pickup is standard and included in your flat-rate Larkspur quote. Meet & Greet inside baggage claim with a name placard and luggage assistance is an optional add-on — worth it for long-haul arrivals into SFO or OAK. Wine tours can include cooler storage and glassware on request.

  5. 5

    Review your flat-rate quote

Your Larkspur rate is quoted upfront — flat-rate and all-inclusive for transfers, hourly with a daily minimum for tours. No surge, no metered fares, no hidden fees. Tolls, fuel, and standard wait time are built in.

  6. 6

    Confirm and book

Complete your Larkspur booking online in minutes or call our 24/7 dispatch line. You'll get an instant email confirmation with trip details, and your chauffeur's contact info the day of the trip. Real-time flight tracking is standard on every airport booking — pickup auto-adjusts for early arrivals and delays.
