One terminal, and you are already there

There is no terminal to identify, no concourse to cross, and no interior distance worth planning around. The trade-off worth knowing about

STS runs a small schedule of West Coast connections rather than a broad national one, and that cuts both ways. Fewer daily departures means a cancellation has fewer recovery options than the same disruption at SFO would, and it means the last arrival of the evening lands earlier than you might assume. What we do about it is straightforward: your reservation carries the flight number, dispatch watches the inbound rather than the clock, and the vehicle holds. A common pattern among regular visitors is flying into STS and out of SFO, and we are happy to drive the mismatched pair.

Reaching Napa and the rest of the region from STS

Wine country does not end at the Sonoma County line, and STS reaches further east than most people expect. Calistoga is 40 to 55 minutes over the ridge, St. Helena and the city of Napa both 45 to 60, Yountville 50 to 65 — competitive with the Bay Area airports and without a bridge in the way. South, Novato is 35 to 48 minutes and San Rafael 45 to 60. San Francisco itself is 70 to 90. If your party is splitting between a Healdsburg hotel and a Napa one, an STS arrival often serves both better than a single SFO pickup would.
