The estates sit above the village on lanes nobody enjoys descending after a tasting. That is the whole argument for a chauffeur here.
Why Glen Ellen chooses Irydn
Glen Ellen is the point where the Sonoma Valley pinches. The hills move in from both sides until the floor is barely wide enough for the highway and the vineyards, SR-12 threads through the gap, and the village pulls off to one side into a few rustic blocks you can cross on foot in ten minutes. The estates are arranged in the opposite way entirely: Benziger Family Winery, Lasseter Family Winery, and Loxton Cellars all sit up side roads that climb away from the highway, and those roads are the honest reason people hire a chauffeur in Glen Ellen instead of taking a rental car out for the afternoon.
Jack London State Historic Park is the anchor above town and Sonoma Valley Regional Park sits at the other end of the village. Nothing here is near an airport — STS is 25 to 35 minutes north, SFO 65 to 85, OAK 60 to 80, and SMF 80 to 100 east. Irydn runs Glen Ellen (95442) out of its Petaluma yard and holds California PUC charter-party permit TCP 0039081A.
Our FleetLuxury SUVs to 24-Passenger Buses
From a Mid-Size Luxury SUV for a solo SFO run to a Luxury Bus carrying 24 for a wedding block or a corporate offsite, Irydn matches every Glen Ellen trip to the right vehicle — each one late-model, commercially insured, and driven by a background-checked professional chauffeur under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A.

Fast Facts
Typical drive time from Glen Ellen
Estimates reflect off-peak conditions via SR-12 (the Sonoma Highway). Bay Area bridge and commute traffic may extend transit time; flight-tracked pickups adjust automatically.
Local pickup coverage
We plan each Glen Ellen ride around the actual pickup address, not just the city name. For airport transportation, dispatch usually builds around SR-12 (the Sonoma Highway) and an off-peak run to San Francisco International (SFO) of about 65–85 minutes. Add gate codes, hotel entrances, winery appointment times, or venue notes when booking so your chauffeur can arrive at the right door the first time.

Why Choose Us
Three Glen Ellen estates, all off SR-12 up the western hillside, on approaches our chauffeurs have driven before.
Climbing to a tasting is easy. Coming back down a shoulderless lane into afternoon sun is what people book us for.
We agree the return hour before you walk in, because coverage in those hills will not carry a message asking for a car.
The closest airport by a distance. SFO is 65–85, OAK 60–80, and SMF 80–100 — every one of them flat-rate.
The Luxury Sprinter Van handles the side roads. Anything larger belongs on SR-12 and the down-valley loops.
CPUC TCP 0039081A, commercial insurance, background-checked chauffeurs, and someone answering (415) 237-0073 at any hour.

Between the town of Sonoma and Kenwood the valley floor narrows until the ridges on either side are close enough to change the light by mid-afternoon, and Glen Ellen sits in the middle of that pinch. SR-12 carries everything through it. The village itself steps off the highway into a handful of blocks — restaurants, tasting rooms, inns, a bookshop — with Sonoma Valley Regional Park at one edge. Two practical things follow from that shape. Parking in the village is limited and awkward for anything larger than a car, so we set a meeting point at the edge of the walkable blocks rather than trying to hold a space in the middle of them. And distances that look trivial on a map are not trivial once the road leaves the flat: three miles to an estate can mean fifteen minutes of climbing, and planning a Glen Ellen day on map distances is how visitors end up late to a second appointment.
Benziger Family Winery, Lasseter Family Winery, and Loxton Cellars all sit off SR-12 on the valley's western hillside, reached by roads that narrow, bend, and rise as they leave the highway. Going up them in the morning is fine. Coming back down at four in the afternoon, after two tastings, into low western sun, on pavement with no shoulder and a blind curve every few hundred feet, is a genuinely poor idea — and it is the specific thing chauffeured service in Glen Ellen exists to remove. Our chauffeurs have driven these approaches before, which matters when a vehicle coming the other way needs someone to give way in the right place rather than the first place. Send us the estates you have already booked and we will tell you plainly how the climbs sequence and whether a third appointment fits.
The park above Glen Ellen is why a good share of visitors come here at all: the ranch buildings, the cottage, the lake, and miles of trail through oak and fir on the flank of the mountain. It pairs naturally with an afternoon of tasting, and it is one of the few destinations in the county where guests routinely book a vehicle to wait rather than to drop and be re-summoned. We fix a return time before you set off, because mobile coverage up in those hills is unreliable and an agreed hour beats a message that will not send. Sonoma Valley Regional Park, at the other end of the village, is the shorter version of the same idea for a group that wants an hour outdoors rather than a morning.
Nothing is close to Glen Ellen except the rest of the Sonoma Valley. STS is 25 to 35 minutes north and the shortest run by a wide margin. SFO is 65 to 85 and still the airport most visitors actually land at, OAK is 60 to 80, and SMF is 80 to 100 to the east. None of those is a hop, which is why the departure end of a Glen Ellen stay is worth arranging properly — a dawn flight out of San Francisco means leaving the village in the dark and driving SR-12 before there is anybody else on it. Airport work is flat-rate: the figure you are quoted covers the vehicle, the tolls, and the usual wait at the curb, and it does not move because you booked an inconvenient hour. Every airport reservation follows your flight, so a late inbound shifts the pickup without anyone placing a call.
Wedding venues around Glen Ellen are inns, small estates, and private properties under oaks, and most of them are reached by the same sort of climbing side road as the wineries — which makes vehicle size a constraint rather than a preference. The Luxury Sprinter Van, eleven seats in captain's chairs, is the largest thing we will commit to those approaches without looking at the site first. The fourteen-seat Sprinter Passenger Van and the twenty-four-seat Luxury Bus are excellent on SR-12 itself and on guest loops between down-valley hotels, and wrong above the highway. We operate no sedans, no stretch limousines, and no party buses. Name the venue when you enquire and we will look at the approach and the turnaround before putting a vehicle on the quote.

Career chauffeurs, not rideshare drivers. Every one is background-checked, licensed, and trained in hospitality and Glen Ellen routes — which winery gates take an extra ten minutes, which hotel entrance the vehicle actually fits. The standard is identical no matter which Irydn vehicle pulls up.
Airport and point-to-point transfers are flat-rate and quoted before you book — tolls, fuel, and standard wait time included. No surge, no meter, no bridge-traffic surcharge. Wine tours are hourly with a daily minimum, because a tasting day isn't a transfer and a fixed price would either shortchange the day or pad the quote.
Every SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS pickup is flight-tracked in real time, so your chauffeur is curbside whether you land early, late, or diverted. Dispatch answers the phone around the clock at (415) 237-0073 — dawn departures, red-eye arrivals, and overnight runs included.
Smoke-free, late-model, commercially insured vehicles backed by corporate account management, consolidated billing, and the discretion executive and group clients expect. One invoice, one point of contact, every ride documented.
Glen Ellen sits in the narrow middle of the Sonoma Valley where the hills close in — the estates here are up winding side roads off SR-12, which is exactly the kind of driving guests would rather not do after a tasting.
Step-by-step
A six-step walkthrough of the booking flow, from entering your Glen Ellen pickup address to confirming a flat-rate quote with live flight tracking — or building a wine-country itinerary instead.
Start at /reservation/ and enter the full Glen Ellen address — residential, corporate campus, hotel, inn, or winery. Gated-property access codes and specific entrance notes can be added to the booking notes. We pick up regularly near Jack London State Historic Park, Sonoma Valley Regional Park, downtown Glen Ellen.
Northern California is a multi-airport market, so pick the airport that actually fits your itinerary. From Glen Ellen the usual choice is San Francisco International (SFO), typically about 65–85 minutes off-peak via SR-12 (the Sonoma Highway). Building a tasting day instead? Enter your first winery and we'll route the rest.
Pick the vehicle that fits the group: a mid-size luxury SUV (up to 4), a large luxury SUV (up to 6), an executive Sprinter van with captain's chairs (up to 11), a Sprinter passenger van (up to 14), or a luxury bus (up to 24). Every vehicle is late-model, commercially insured, and operated by a background-checked professional chauffeur under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A.
Curbside airport pickup is standard and included in your flat-rate Glen Ellen quote. Meet & Greet inside baggage claim with a name placard and luggage assistance is an optional add-on — worth it for long-haul arrivals into SFO or OAK. Wine tours can include cooler storage and glassware on request. For tasting days, Benziger Family Winery, Lasseter Family Winery, Loxton Cellars are all on our regular Glen Ellen rotation — send us the list and we'll sequence it.
Your Glen Ellen rate is quoted upfront — flat-rate and all-inclusive for transfers, hourly with a daily minimum for tours. No surge, no metered fares, no hidden fees. Tolls, fuel, and standard wait time are built in.
Complete your Glen Ellen booking online in minutes or call our 24/7 dispatch line. You'll get an instant email confirmation with trip details, and your chauffeur's contact info the day of the trip.
