Why SFO Airport Car Service chooses Irydn

San Francisco International is where most wine-country visitors land, and it is also the transfer with the least forgiving geography we drive. The airport sits south of the city on the peninsula; Napa, Sonoma, and Healdsburg all sit north of it — which means the run to your hotel crosses San Francisco and the Golden Gate rather than skirting it. Off-peak that is 55 to 75 minutes to the city of Napa and 80 to 100 to Healdsburg.

At five on a Friday it is another story entirely, and a metered ride would make you pay for that. Irydn quotes every SFO transfer as one flat rate, agreed before you book, in a mid-size or large luxury SUV, an executive Sprinter, or a larger van or bus. We are a licensed California charter-party carrier, permit TCP 0039081A, with flight tracking on every arrival and dispatch on call around the clock.

Why Choose Us

Northern California's Licensed Black Car & Wine Tour Service

Four terminals, confirmed at booking

Harvey Milk Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, and the International Terminal have separate curbs. We pin yours before you fly.

Priced against real traffic, not best-case

The rate is fixed whether the Golden Gate is moving or crawling. A meter would make the worst afternoon of the week your problem.

Bridge tolls already included

The Golden Gate tolls inbound only, so departures carry one and arrivals do not. Both are inside the number you were quoted.

Extra wait time on international arrivals

Customs takes longer than travelers plan for. Long-haul bookings build in additional wait rather than charging you for it later.

Licensed charter-party carrier

California PUC permit TCP 0039081A, commercially insured, background-checked chauffeurs. Ask any SFO operator for their TCP number.

SUVs upward, never a sedan

Mid-size SUV for four, large SUV for six with checked bags, Sprinter for eleven, van and bus beyond — sized to the luggage, not just the headcount.

Flight-tracked SFO transfers to every wine-country address, quoted flat before you fly.

The SFO run is longer than the map suggests

Distance is not what governs this trip. Everything north of SFO funnels through one bridge, and the approach to it runs through San Francisco itself, so the same drive that takes an hour at ten in the morning can take ninety minutes at half past four. Our chauffeurs run the corridor daily and know which of the two ways across town is moving on a given afternoon. Southbound matters too: the Golden Gate is tolled in one direction only — inbound toward the city — so your departure transfer to SFO carries a bridge toll your arrival did not, and both are already inside the rate you were quoted.

Four terminals, one confirmed meeting point

SFO operates Harvey Milk Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, and the International Terminal, and they do not share a curb. We confirm which one your flight uses at the time of booking, so nobody is walking the length of the airport with luggage looking for a vehicle. Domestic arrivals default to a curbside meeting point your chauffeur texts you once you are on the ground. International arrivals take longer to clear than most travelers plan for, so those bookings include additional wait time as standard — and a meet-and-greet inside the arrivals hall, with a name board and help to the vehicle, is available on any booking and worth it after a long-haul.

Where SFO arrivals actually go

The heaviest single flow is SFO to the Napa Valley — the city of Napa at 55 to 75 minutes, Yountville at 65 to 85, St. Helena at 75 to 95, Calistoga at 85 to 105. On the Sonoma side, Petaluma is the closest at 45 to 60, Santa Rosa 65 to 85, and Healdsburg 80 to 100. Sacramento arrivals occasionally land at SFO for schedule reasons and run 95 to 125 minutes east on I-80. All of these are off-peak figures by road, and we say so plainly because a transfer quoted against a best-case number is how people miss dinner reservations.

Luggage, group size, and the vehicle you actually need

Our smallest vehicle is a mid-size luxury SUV carrying up to four with four bags — we do not run sedans, which is a deliberate choice on a route where half the arrivals are international and travelling with checked luggage. Six passengers with full-size bags take the large SUV. Groups of up to eleven ride in the executive Sprinter with captain's chairs, and up to fourteen in the passenger van; the luxury bus covers twenty-four, which is the usual answer for a wedding block or an offsite arriving on the same afternoon. If your party is landing across several flights, we can stage vehicles against each arrival rather than making the early group wait.

What flat-rate means on this route

One number, agreed before you book, covering the vehicle, the chauffeur, fuel, bridge tolls, and standard wait time. It does not change because your flight came in late, because the bridge was slow, or because it happened to be a Sunday in October. There is no surge multiplier and no meter. Request an instant quote with your flight number and destination address and dispatch comes back with the vehicle class and the rate together. Many guests pair the arrival transfer with a tasting day the following morning — that is our private Napa and Sonoma wine tour service, priced hourly rather than flat, and booked as a separate leg.

Off-peak drive times from SFO

Approximate off-peak drive times by road from San Francisco International, with the corridor each one uses. Bay Area commute traffic adds meaningfully to every row — your flat rate does not.

Flight tracking on every SFO booking

SFO handles more diverted and held inbounds than the other three airports we serve combined, simply because it takes the long-haul traffic. Tying the reservation to your flight number is what stops that from becoming your problem: dispatch watches the arrival and repositions the vehicle when it moves, whether that is twenty minutes early or two hours late. Standard wait time sits inside the flat rate, international arrivals carry extra, and nobody bills you for weather over the Pacific.

Why Choose Us

Why Northern California Chooses Irydn

From a Petaluma pickup for a Dry Creek tasting day to an SFO arrival, a Sacramento board meeting, or a vineyard wedding shuttle, we run chauffeured transport across wine country and the Bay Area on a licensed fleet, career chauffeurs, and flat-rate quotes given before you book.

  • Licensed California Charter-Party Carrier

Irydn operates under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A — a credential you can look up on the CPUC carrier register before you book. Commercially insured, with every vehicle and chauffeur covered for passenger transport. Ask any Northern California operator for their TCP number; the ones who can't produce it aren't licensed to carry you.

  • Five Vehicle Classes, Four to Twenty-Four Passengers

A mid-size luxury SUV for couples and solo executives, a large luxury SUV when there's real luggage, an executive Sprinter with captain's chairs for tasting days, a Sprinter passenger van for full teams, and a luxury bus for wedding blocks and offsites. One company, one call — no subcontracting the vehicle you actually booked.

  • Background-Checked Professional Chauffeurs

Career chauffeurs, not rideshare drivers. Every one is background-checked, licensed, and trained in hospitality and Northern California routes — which winery gates take an extra ten minutes, which hotel entrance the vehicle actually fits. The standard is identical no matter which Irydn vehicle pulls up.

  • Flat-Rate Transfers, Quoted Upfront

Airport and point-to-point transfers are flat-rate and quoted before you book — tolls, fuel, and standard wait time included. No surge, no meter, no bridge-traffic surcharge. Wine tours are hourly with a daily minimum, because a tasting day isn't a transfer and a fixed price would either shortchange the day or pad the quote.

  • Flight Tracking + 24/7 Live Dispatch

Every SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS pickup is flight-tracked in real time, so your chauffeur is curbside whether you land early, late, or diverted. Dispatch answers the phone around the clock at (415) 237-0073 — dawn departures, red-eye arrivals, and overnight runs included.

  • Corporate Accounts & Consolidated Billing

Smoke-free, late-model, commercially insured vehicles backed by corporate account management, consolidated billing, and the discretion executive and group clients expect. One invoice, one point of contact, every ride documented.
