Why Point-to-Point Transportation chooses Irydn

A point-to-point transfer is the simplest thing we sell and the one where the pricing model matters most: a single leg between two addresses, quoted flat-rate upfront, with tolls, fuel, and standard wait time already inside the number. Nothing recalculates. If the Golden Gate backs up or your flight is ninety minutes late, the figure you agreed to is the figure you pay.

Irydn runs transfers throughout Napa, Sonoma, Marin, San Francisco, and the Sacramento region — including the long cross-region legs many operators decline — under permit TCP 0039081A on file with the California PUC. Dispatch is staffed twenty-four hours a day, and the rate at five in the morning is the same as the rate at noon.

Why Choose Us

Northern California's Licensed Black Car & Wine Tour Service

Quoted before you confirm

The rate appears on your confirmation and again on the receipt. Nothing recalculates after the trip.

Traffic is our risk, not yours

A bridge backup or a bad stretch of US-101 does not change the number. That is what a flat rate means.

Tolls, fuel, and standard wait included

No booking fee, no fuel surcharge, no late-night differential, and no demand multiplier at any hour.

Flight tracking on airport legs

A delayed arrival moves your pickup automatically. No call from the jet bridge required.

Cross-region legs welcome

San Francisco to Healdsburg, Sacramento to Napa through the Carneros gap — the long runs others decline are routine.

24/7 dispatch, one rate

Pre-dawn departures and after-midnight arrivals price like midday. Permit TCP 0039081A, commercially insured.

A flat rate is a commitment, not an estimate

Metered and demand-priced rides move the risk of a bad drive onto the passenger. Ours does not: we quote the leg, and the drive is our problem. That distinction shows up most on the routes where traffic is genuinely unpredictable — anything crossing the Golden Gate, the US-101 corridor through Marin at commute hours, I-80 heading toward Sacramento on a Friday. On those legs an estimate is close to meaningless, which is precisely why we do not give one. You see the number before you confirm, it goes on your confirmation, and it is what appears on the receipt.

What is inside the number

The quoted rate covers the vehicle, the chauffeur, fuel, tolls, and standard wait time — including the free window we build into every airport pickup so a slow bag carousel does not turn into a charge. Extended waiting well beyond that window is quoted openly rather than appearing after the fact. Flight tracking is standard on airport bookings, so a delayed arrival moves the pickup automatically instead of requiring a phone call from the jet bridge. There is no booking fee, no fuel surcharge, no late-night differential, and no demand multiplier at any hour. Gratuity is at your discretion, and account holders can route it through billing.

The legs we run flat-rate most often

Airport transfers are the bulk of it: Petaluma and the Marin towns down US-101 to SFO, the Napa Valley out through SR-29 and SR-121, Healdsburg and Windsor over to STS, and the short capital-region runs into SMF. Then there are the cross-region legs that make a flat rate genuinely valuable, because they are long enough that a meter is frightening: San Francisco to Healdsburg, Sacramento to Napa through the Carneros gap, Sonoma over to OAK, or a hotel in Yountville to a boardroom in the Financial District. We also do a steady volume of one-way repositioning — a guest who came up with a group and needs to leave alone, or a car breakdown that has stranded somebody mid-valley.

When a transfer is the wrong booking

Flat-rate pricing works because the trip has two ends and no waiting in the middle. Once a day involves several stops, a return leg with an unknown time, or a vehicle that needs to stand by while you do something, the transfer model stops fitting and hourly as-directed service is both simpler and usually cheaper — you stop paying for two separate legs plus the gap between them. The rough test: if you can name both addresses and the departure time and nothing about the trip is open-ended, book the transfer. If any part of that sentence is a guess, ask dispatch about hourly instead. We would rather move you to the right structure than sell you two transfers that should have been one booking.

Booking ahead, and why it beats hailing

Reserve online in a couple of minutes or call dispatch at any hour; you get an instant email confirmation with the rate, the vehicle class, and the pickup details, and your chauffeur's information reaches you on the day. Pre-booking earns its keep at exactly the moments on-demand supply thins: a pre-dawn departure for a transcontinental flight, a late arrival into SFO after the last shuttle has gone, a Sunday out of a wine-country town where drivers are scarce at any price. A reserved vehicle is already assigned to you at those hours, at the rate you locked in when you booked it.

Common Irydn transfer corridors and approximate off-peak drive times

Drive times below are approximate off-peak ranges by road; Bay Area bridge and US-101 commute traffic can add substantially. Every corridor here is quoted flat-rate, so a slower drive does not change your rate.

Mid-size and large luxury SUVs for two to six, the executive Sprinter with captain's chairs for up to eleven, and vans and buses beyond that. Room for the cases you buy along the way. Hourly with a daily minimum; tasting fees go straight to the wineries and are never marked up by us.

The right structure any time you have more than two stops: a multi-stop Point-to-Point Transportation business day, a tasting itinerary, a wedding-day schedule, or an evening out. The vehicle and chauffeur stay with you rather than being dispatched away and re-booked, so a meeting running twenty minutes long does not turn into a wait for a car. Billed hourly with a daily minimum, quoted upfront — no surge multipliers, in whichever vehicle class fits your party.

Why Choose Us

Why Northern California Chooses Irydn

From a Petaluma pickup for a Dry Creek tasting day to an SFO arrival, a Sacramento board meeting, or a vineyard wedding shuttle, we run chauffeured transport across wine country and the Bay Area on a licensed fleet, career chauffeurs, and flat-rate quotes given before you book.

  • Licensed California Charter-Party Carrier

Irydn operates under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A — a credential you can look up on the CPUC carrier register before you book. Commercially insured, with every vehicle and chauffeur covered for passenger transport. Ask any Northern California operator for their TCP number; the ones who can't produce it aren't licensed to carry you.

  • Five Vehicle Classes, Four to Twenty-Four Passengers

A mid-size luxury SUV for couples and solo executives, a large luxury SUV when there's real luggage, an executive Sprinter with captain's chairs for tasting days, a Sprinter passenger van for full teams, and a luxury bus for wedding blocks and offsites. One company, one call — no subcontracting the vehicle you actually booked.

  • Background-Checked Professional Chauffeurs

Career chauffeurs, not rideshare drivers. Every one is background-checked, licensed, and trained in hospitality and Northern California routes — which winery gates take an extra ten minutes, which hotel entrance the vehicle actually fits. The standard is identical no matter which Irydn vehicle pulls up.

  • Flat-Rate Transfers, Quoted Upfront

Airport and point-to-point transfers are flat-rate and quoted before you book — tolls, fuel, and standard wait time included. No surge, no meter, no bridge-traffic surcharge. Wine tours are hourly with a daily minimum, because a tasting day isn't a transfer and a fixed price would either shortchange the day or pad the quote.

  • Flight Tracking + 24/7 Live Dispatch

Every SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS pickup is flight-tracked in real time, so your chauffeur is curbside whether you land early, late, or diverted. Dispatch answers the phone around the clock at (415) 237-0073 — dawn departures, red-eye arrivals, and overnight runs included.

  • Corporate Accounts & Consolidated Billing

Smoke-free, late-model, commercially insured vehicles backed by corporate account management, consolidated billing, and the discretion executive and group clients expect. One invoice, one point of contact, every ride documented.
