The road runs out at the ocean here. The last stretch of it is the part people book a chauffeur to be able to watch.
Why Bodega Bay chooses Irydn
The Bodega Highway ends at the Pacific, and Bodega Bay is what is waiting when it does. The community sits on SR-1 in ZIP 94923, roughly 45 to 60 minutes from Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County (STS) and considerably further from the Bay Area — 85 to 105 minutes from SFO, 90 to 110 from OAK — with almost all of that time spent on two-lane road rather than freeway. The final approach is the part guests remember afterward: SR-1 running above the water in coastal fog that can be thick enough to hear the surf before you see it. That drive is the honest reason most of our Bodega Bay bookings exist.
Visitors want to look at it instead of negotiating it, and the people who live inland and come out for a dinner at the harbour want the return leg handled by somebody else. Bodega Bay is also a working fishing port rather than a purely decorative one — the crab fleet ties up at Spud Point Marina, and the harbour smells like a harbour. The Lodge at Bodega Bay, Bodega Head, and Doran Regional Park account for most of the rest. Irydn runs the coast out of the Petaluma base under California PUC charter-party permit TCP 0039081A, with mid-size and large luxury SUVs, a Luxury Sprinter Van seating eleven in captain's chairs, a fourteen-seat Sprinter Passenger Van, and a twenty-four-seat Luxury Bus. Dispatch answers around the clock at (415) 237-0073.
Our FleetLuxury SUVs to 24-Passenger Buses

Fast Facts
Typical drive time from Bodega Bay
Estimates reflect off-peak conditions via SR-1 at the Bodega Highway. Bay Area bridge and commute traffic may extend transit time; flight-tracked pickups adjust automatically.
Local pickup coverage
We plan each Bodega Bay ride around the actual pickup address, not just the city name. For airport transportation, dispatch usually builds around SR-1 at the Bodega Highway and an off-peak run to Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County (STS) of about 45–60 minutes. Add gate codes, hotel entrances, winery appointment times, or venue notes when booking so your chauffeur can arrive at the right door the first time.

Why Choose Us
Two lanes of SR-1 above the water, often in fog. Booking a chauffeur is how you get to watch it instead of drive it.
The sensible airport for a coastal stay. SFO is 85–105 and OAK 90–110, and both include a long two-lane section.
The crab fleet works out of Spud Point Marina. Bodega Bay is a port with a resort attached, not the other way round.
Guests delivered close to the start rather than left standing on an exposed headland in the wind. Loop schedule agreed ahead.
Short distances, long gaps, and thin rideshare coverage. Hourly as-directed is the structure that actually fits a coastal day.
CPUC TCP 0039081A, commercially insured, with background-checked professional chauffeurs and 24/7 dispatch.
On almost every other page we write, the drive is the thing we are trying to shorten. Bodega Bay is the exception. The Bodega Highway leaves the last of the inland farmland behind, drops through a series of blind curves, and meets SR-1 within sight of the ocean, and the twenty minutes either side of that junction are genuinely worth being awake for. They are also two lanes with no shoulder, frequent pullouts full of people who stopped suddenly, and marine fog that can close visibility down inside a mile. A visitor who has only driven the Napa Valley floor tends to underestimate all three. What a chauffeur buys you here is not speed — we are not going to beat the posted limit on that road and would not try — it is the ability to spend the drive looking out the window rather than watching the centre line. We build realistic time into every coastal booking rather than quoting a best case that assumes an empty road and clear air, because the best case out here happens perhaps a third of the time.
Bodega Bay makes its living from the water. Spud Point Marina is where the crab fleet ties up, and the boats leaving before dawn in season are not a heritage exhibit — they are the local economy. That gives the place a texture most of Sonoma County does not have. There are no tasting rooms to sequence here and no appellation to plan a day around; a Bodega Bay booking is usually somebody going to eat at the harbour, walk out to Bodega Head, spend a windy afternoon on the sand at Doran Regional Park, or check into The Lodge at Bodega Bay for two nights and not get back in a car until the end of them. We price that shape of trip accordingly. A run out and a run back on fixed times is a flat-rate transfer, quoted upfront with tolls and standard wait time already inside the number. A day of short hops with long gaps between them is hourly as-directed, because the chauffeur waiting at the marina beats a vehicle being dispatched back from Sebastopol.
Coastal ceremonies are a recurring booking for us here, and the logistics deserve more attention than they usually get. The headlands are beautiful and completely unsheltered. Wind picks up through the afternoon most days, fog can arrive during the ceremony and leave before the toasts, and guests who drove out from Santa Rosa or Petaluma in seventy-degree sunshine will step out of the vehicle into something twenty degrees colder with a wind on it. The practical consequences are all about timing rather than vehicles: guest loops should deliver people close to the start rather than forty minutes early, and the vehicle should be positioned where guests can sit in it rather than stand on a headland waiting. We will agree a loop schedule with your coordinator in advance and hold it, and the return leg after dark on SR-1 is exactly the drive nobody in a wedding party should be making themselves. Wedding transportation is quoted as one package rather than a stack of separate trips.
Bodega Bay is the furthest west we regularly work, and the airport arithmetic reflects it. STS is the sensible arrival at 45 to 60 minutes, and it is not close — that figure is longer than the entire drive from Windsor or Healdsburg to the same airport, because the road west is slow by design. SFO runs 85 to 105 minutes off-peak and OAK 90 to 110, both of them a freeway leg followed by a long two-lane leg, and both exposed to Bay Area traffic at the wrong hours on top of the coastal section. If you are flying in specifically for a coastal stay, checking Sonoma County routes before defaulting to San Francisco is worth ten minutes of your planning time. Every airport transfer is flat-rate and quoted before you reserve, and we track the inbound flight so a late landing shifts the pickup rather than starting a clock against you. For a departure we build the leave time backward from your boarding call with the coastal stretch counted honestly.
Bodega Head is the hook of land that shelters the harbour from the open ocean, and the walk out along it is the single most-requested stop we get in this area — whale-watching from the bluffs in the migration months, and the rest of the year simply the best place to stand and look at the Pacific for half an hour. Doran Regional Park runs along the sand spit on the other side of the entrance, and it is the flat, easy, family-shaped option: beach, dunes, and a launch ramp. Alfred Hitchcock filmed The Birds here and in neighbouring Bodega in 1962, and the schoolhouse inland still draws people who want to see it. Beyond that, the day tends to organise itself around a meal and the tide. None of these stops are far from each other, which is why we suggest holding the vehicle rather than booking legs: the distances are short, the gaps are long, and rideshare coverage on this stretch of coast is not something to plan an afternoon around.
Two to four guests ride in a Mid-Size Luxury SUV and up to six in a Large Luxury SUV, and for a couple heading out for a coastal night away that is usually the whole conversation. Above six, the Luxury Sprinter Van with captain's chairs seats eleven and is what most group bookings out here end up in — a stand-up cabin makes the long two-lane drive far more pleasant than a packed vehicle would. The Sprinter Passenger Van takes fourteen and the Luxury Bus twenty-four with a PA system, both of which are fine on SR-1 itself and worth a conversation before we commit them to a specific venue driveway. Bluff-top and headland properties around Bodega Bay frequently have gravel approaches and limited turnaround room, so tell us the address early and we will check it rather than discovering the problem at four in the afternoon on the day. We do not operate sedans, stretch limousines, or party buses, so nobody has to talk you out of one.
Three different pricing models cover almost everything we run out here, and which one you want depends on the shape of the day rather than the distance. Drive times are approximate and off-peak.
| The booking | What it involves | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival transfer from STS | 45–60 minutes, most of it two-lane, the last stretch on SR-1 | Flat-rate, quoted upfront, flight-tracked |
| Arrival transfer from SFO | 85–105 minutes off-peak, freeway then coast road | Flat-rate; departure timed backward from the flight, not the map |
| Arrival transfer from OAK | 90–110 minutes off-peak, usually the calmer Bay Area run | Flat-rate, tolls and standard wait time included |
| A day at the harbour and Bodega Head | Short hops with long gaps — the marina, the headland, a meal | Hourly as-directed with a daily minimum; the vehicle waits |
| A bluff-top wedding | Guest loops from The Lodge and inland hotels, in coastal wind | Quoted as one package with the loop schedule agreed in advance |
| Continuing north up SR-1 | Viewpoints rather than addresses, with no fixed itinerary | Hourly with a daily minimum, because a coast day has no schedule |

Late-model luxury SUVs and background-checked professional chauffeurs for client pickups, roadshows, board travel, and conference blocks across the Sonoma Coast. Corporate accounts get priority dispatch during the windows that genuinely tighten — harvest season, conference weeks, dawn airport departures — plus consolidated monthly invoicing with trip-level detail instead of a pile of receipts. One operator across wine country, the Bay Area, and the capital region. Licensed under California PUC charter-party permit TCP 0039081A.
Get a Quote for Corporate & Executive Black CarGroup movements across the Sonoma Coast — weddings, offsites, and event shuttles.
The executive Sprinter seats up to eleven, the Sprinter passenger van up to fourteen, and the luxury bus up to twenty-four — most wedding weekends and corporate offsites end up as a mix of all three. We handle the whole shape of it: airport blocks arriving across an afternoon from four different airports, hotel-to-venue shuttle loops, a tasting afternoon in the middle of the agenda, and departure runs at the end. One schedule, one point of contact, one invoice.
Get a Quote for Weddings, Events & Group TransportationBy the hour, with your chauffeur and vehicle waiting between stops.
The right structure any time you have more than two stops: a multi-stop Bodega Bay business day, a tasting itinerary, a wedding-day schedule, or an evening out. The vehicle and chauffeur stay with you rather than being dispatched away and re-booked, so a meeting running twenty minutes long does not turn into a wait for a car. Billed hourly with a daily minimum, quoted upfront — no surge multipliers, in whichever vehicle class fits your party.

A single leg, quoted flat-rate before you book: a hotel run into San Francisco, dinner in Healdsburg, a Golden 1 Center event in Sacramento, or one of the long connector trips other operators decline — Sacramento to Napa through the Carneros gap, San Francisco to the northern Sonoma appellations. Tolls, fuel, and standard wait time are already in the number, and it does not change because traffic did.
Get a Quote for Point-to-Point TransportationWhy Choose Us
From every Bodega Bay address to SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS — and every the Sonoma Coast destination in between — we deliver chauffeured transport built on a licensed fleet, career chauffeurs, and flat-rate quotes given before you book.
Irydn operates under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A — a credential you can look up on the CPUC carrier register before you book. Commercially insured, with every vehicle and chauffeur covered for passenger transport. Ask any Bodega Bay operator for their TCP number; the ones who can't produce it aren't licensed to carry you.
A mid-size luxury SUV for couples and solo executives, a large luxury SUV when there's real luggage, an executive Sprinter with captain's chairs for tasting days, a Sprinter passenger van for full teams, and a luxury bus for wedding blocks and offsites. One company, one call — no subcontracting the vehicle you actually booked.
Career chauffeurs, not rideshare drivers. Every one is background-checked, licensed, and trained in hospitality and Bodega Bay routes — which winery gates take an extra ten minutes, which hotel entrance the vehicle actually fits. The standard is identical no matter which Irydn vehicle pulls up.
Airport and point-to-point transfers are flat-rate and quoted before you book — tolls, fuel, and standard wait time included. No surge, no meter, no bridge-traffic surcharge. Wine tours are hourly with a daily minimum, because a tasting day isn't a transfer and a fixed price would either shortchange the day or pad the quote.
Every SFO, OAK, SMF, and STS pickup is flight-tracked in real time, so your chauffeur is curbside whether you land early, late, or diverted. Dispatch answers the phone around the clock at (415) 237-0073 — dawn departures, red-eye arrivals, and overnight runs included.
Smoke-free, late-model, commercially insured vehicles backed by corporate account management, consolidated billing, and the discretion executive and group clients expect. One invoice, one point of contact, every ride documented.
Bodega Bay is the point where the Bodega Highway runs out at the Pacific, and the last forty minutes of the drive — two lanes of SR-1 in coastal fog — is the reason most people would rather be a passenger for it.
Step-by-step
A six-step walkthrough of the booking flow, from entering your Bodega Bay pickup address to confirming a flat-rate quote with live flight tracking — or building a wine-country itinerary instead.
Start at /reservation/ and enter the full Bodega Bay address — residential, corporate campus, hotel, inn, or winery. Gated-property access codes and specific entrance notes can be added to the booking notes. We pick up regularly near The Lodge at Bodega Bay, Bodega Head, Doran Regional Park.
Northern California is a multi-airport market, so pick the airport that actually fits your itinerary. From Bodega Bay the usual choice is Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County (STS), typically about 45–60 minutes off-peak via SR-1 at the Bodega Highway. Building a tasting day instead? Enter your first winery and we'll route the rest.
Pick the vehicle that fits the group: a mid-size luxury SUV (up to 4), a large luxury SUV (up to 6), an executive Sprinter van with captain's chairs (up to 11), a Sprinter passenger van (up to 14), or a luxury bus (up to 24). Every vehicle is late-model, commercially insured, and operated by a background-checked professional chauffeur under California PUC permit TCP 0039081A.
Curbside airport pickup is standard and included in your flat-rate Bodega Bay quote. Meet & Greet inside baggage claim with a name placard and luggage assistance is an optional add-on — worth it for long-haul arrivals into SFO or OAK. Wine tours can include cooler storage and glassware on request.
Your Bodega Bay rate is quoted upfront — flat-rate and all-inclusive for transfers, hourly with a daily minimum for tours. No surge, no metered fares, no hidden fees. Tolls, fuel, and standard wait time are built in.
Complete your Bodega Bay booking online in minutes or call our 24/7 dispatch line. You'll get an instant email confirmation with trip details, and your chauffeur's contact info the day of the trip. Real-time flight tracking is standard on every airport booking — pickup auto-adjusts for early arrivals and delays.
